The Ministry of Music
As St. Augustine tells us, ‘Singing is praying twice!” The Ministry of Music inspires us to do just that! Music and the selection of songs enhance the message of God’s teachings, connecting us to a spiritual and prayerful experience with Jesus Christ. Specific songs are selected by our Director of Music in support of the Liturgy at every Mass, service, liturgical season and other liturgical celebrations including Holy Communion, Confirmation, marriage and funerals. Cantors are present at these liturgical events to guide us through the liturgical experience and to encourage our parish family to participate by singing.
St. Francis Singing Ensemble
Over the past several years, the Music Ministry has formed an all-inclusive singing ensemble who worships and sings as one choir for Christmas and Easter. This inspiration stems from one single thought - singers from all ages, cultures and abilities are invited and welcomed. Sing solo, sing as a family, sing as a couple …and sing along!
St. Francis Youth Mass
The 5:00pm Sunday Mass invites our youth of the parish to come together and celebrate the Liturgy of God as a community of believers! In addition to engaging youth participation at this mass, youth singers and musicians with a love of singing or playing an instrument are encouraged to participate. The contemporary music encourages singing and engages our youth in a special way! The Youth Mass is held from October through June.
St. Francis Children's Choir
St. Francis of Assisi is blessed with many beautiful children as members of our parish family! Over the past few years, the Children's Choir has inspired our liturgies with their vibrant voices for holy days (Christmas and Easter) and special liturgical celebrations (Holy Communion).
