FOOD / CLOTHING DRIVES
Throughout the year, we help the poor through food/clothing donations which benefit organizations like the Norwalk Emergency Shelter, Daughters of Charity and the Weston Food Pantry. The amazing generosity of our community has wowed and amazed the charities that we have served.

AMERICARES
For the past 15years on the first Saturday in May, a dedicated team of St Francis volunteers work with love and grace for the entire day on the home of someone in need. From painting, carpentry, roofing to landscaping, masonry, every need is met for the chosen home by volunteers who are not professionals but have a great heart. It is an amazing experience of neighbors helping neighbors.
Beloved,
if God loved us so,
we also ought to love one another.
1 John 4:11
SOUP KITCHEN
For the past 24years, teams of St Francis volunteers serve tirelessly on Sunday afternoons at the Norwalk Emergency Shelter’s Soup Kitchen. Hot meals and bagged lunches are given with love and dignity to the elderly, homeless and unemployed. This year, the need is even greater with more than 200 meals served during the one hour the kitchen opens each Sunday.
For I will turn their mourning into joy
and comfort them
and make them rejoice after their sorrow .

MINISTRY TO THE SICK AND HOMEBOUND
When one of our parishioners is sick, hospitalized or homebound, an amazing group of volunteers are there to visit and provide comfort. From times of illness to times of loneliness, this ministry provides welcome visits, cards, and Eucharist to our community members in need.
God loves each of us
as if there were only one of us.

BIRTHRIGHT FLOWER SALE
Birthright is an organization which provides counseling, education and support for women facing difficult pregnancies-helping them to choose life. Our flower sale is one small way we can help the work of this wonderful organization as they continue the fight for the Respect of Life.

is your strength

NETWORK OF CARE
This ministry is pending as we look for a group of volunteers to organize and restart this much needed community network. As a need arises either due to illness or a death in the family or even a new baby, parishioners are called upon to drop off hot meals or baskets of food to fellow parish member.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
