And what is charity but the action of love?
Did you know that the Church is the largest charitable organization in the world?
Did you know that the Greek word 'agape' is translated both as 'charity' and 'love' the King James Bible? The Bible clearly associates love with charity.
The passage “Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love” can also be read as “Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and charity—and the greatest of these is charity” [1 Corinthians 13:13]
Did you know that “love covers a multitude of sins?”
[1 Peter 4:8]
Did you know that Christ taught that the second most important commandment is to “Love your neighbor as yourself?”
Did you know that as Catholics it is our obligation to spread the love of God through charity?
Did you know that doing so is simple?
One of the easiest places to start is by helping out with one of the ministries. Take a moment to look at the various ministries and find one that interests you. If you’re interested in helping out at mass – by serving as a greeter, lector, minister or altar server, by hosting a Coffee An’ or by helping to set up for a special occasion or holy day – check out the worship ministry. If you want to look through a list of parish charity activities and drives, search through the Social Actions and Concerns page.

One last reason for sharing your talents:
34"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
37"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
